About Me
- Name: GypsySavage
- Location: Ohio, United States
Greetings friends! My name is Barb a.k.a. Gypsy Savage. I chose the name Gypsy Savage as it is the pet name my husband called me when we were dating. AHHHH, those days are sweet to remember. I was guided to this site by a friend who writes beautifully and created a blog. She, in turn, had been "tagged" and, thus, it has led to me creating my own little blog. I hope I can keep it current and entice people to respond with comments. I've decided to create different blogs for different topics. I will keep my main one GypsySavageMuses for general topics. I have been wanting to write, as sort of a joural, my experience with pain. That blog is Chronic Pain - My Story (how original...). I eventually want to begin a blog with ink blots on it. I find it so amusing to hear what others see in each blot. Very interesting at times... Hope you find one blog that interests you enough to keep you coming back to read and post. I have met lots of interesting people in "blogland." It's surprising how well you can sometimes connect to people just through their writings..

Well, the obvious thing that jumps into my mind is a lovely frog. However, upon deeper viewing I can see two sumo wrestlers leaping and bouncing their bellies off of each other.
Nothing heavy but ...
I see Catherine the Great in the Justice Temple burning poppies at an altar, symbolising her sacrifice of self-interest for Russia. Law books and the scales of justice are at her feet, highlighting her respectful promotion of the rule of law.
yea, it's a bullfrog.
gambo, is it scary living inside your head? ;-)
Gambo / Susan - you guys crack me up. Thanks for the laugh today.
I'm very comfortable inside my own head Susan, but the weather looks VERY scary in Ohio. Like the way you write, (and apologies to Gypsysavage for using her blog to communicate with you).
Keep the blots coming GS.
Gambo - After blot #10, will I have to create my own blots so you will keep dropping by. hmmmm - I think that might be fun.
Thank you Gambo. By the way, you are awfully spry for a man of your advanced years, what is your secret? :-)
Gypsy, you certainly should create your own blots. I used to make them with my kids when they were little. Sprinkle crayon shavings onto a piece of art paper, fold in half and run a warm iron over the outside to melt it then peel the paper back open. Makes beautiful ink blot pictures. :-)
Susan - heyyy good idea. Sounds like fun. Maybe I'll change my name to InkBlotBroad... has a nice ring to it, don't you think?
Hey, you've formed a nice little club of 4 here gypsysavage. Lee's suggestion made me smile. I never thought of Xmas during June before!
Yes, generate a few of your own blots and I'm sure we will all drop by. Windblownbutterfly has come up with a neat idea. Maybe I'll try this myself.
One last thing - I like to think I am' awfully spry' Windblownbutterfly (what a cute phrase) but maybe I'm not quite as old as you think. Mathematicians like to work in bases other than decimal!
Lee, all I can say is "ho, ho, ho..." good observation
Gambo, too bad your blog doesn't tell too much about you. I would love to learn more. Having a fan base of 4 is a beginning and Susan has made me want to go out and buy some crayons... Susan is awesome Gambo. One of the most creative people I know. She has been an inspiration to me over the years to say the least.
Well Barb, all I can say is that your interests match mine very closely and Susans favourite films match mine EXACTLY.
Maybe we should all have dinner one day! Italian of course - Lee can buy the wine.
Upside down, it is two gnomes, sitting back-to-back.
Cabernet merlot is an excellent choice Lee. I nominated you as the wine expert purely on the grounds that you are very handsome and have some very interesting things to say through your blog. I hope the ladies do not object.
PS - I am a little concerned over the logistics surrounding this dinner.
This is sounding like a fun gathering ! Speaking of wine, I went to a local wine tasting last night. Of course, Ohio wines have no comparison to "Wine Country" vintages, but the most enjoyable part was getting together with 5 other ladies and laughing about silly things. I have had much chronic pain this past 2 years and since I am now starting to feel a little better I am trying to regain my friendships. Well, actually, start up some new ones as I've learned not all "friends" stick by you through the difficult times. OK OK... enough of that. I plan on blogging about this past two years soon but can't wrap my heart around it right now.
Lee, I can bring some nice reds also. We have a little wine cellar and since the above (yadayada) we haven't entertained or opened as many bottles as we used to this past couple of years. So there are about a dozen or so bottles in there waiting to be consumed. Willing to share...
As for logistics... anyone have any frequent flyer miles????
what great imaginations!!:) A frog is the first thing i thought of.
Have the best of days! PP
Hey Cosmo after turning the blot upside down I wonder if someone didn't just "blot" out a photo like that and turn it upside down. Amazing perception on that one!
Damn, I lost track of this thread and come back a couple days later to find out that Lee has become a wino???? ;-) Count me in for the Italian dinner, I'll bring the bruschetta and a bottle or two of wine as well. Maybe this would be the occasion to pop open our bottle of Klingon Blood Wine (yea, you can find ANYTHING in Vegas). :-)
InkBlotBroad--- ahaha. You could make a whole separate blog just for inkblots.
Gambo, my favorite movies match yours "exactly"? Your profile says "Male"... are you sure it's not just your age that you took creative liberty with? :-)
Susan, OMG are you a trekkie too? I used to love watching Star Trek on TV and was upset when the show went off the air. I love Shatner in Boston Legal btw...
I agree Susan. Since we don't really know much about Gambo, who's to say if his favorite movies match yours "exactly." =o)
Well, Barb, I would not call myself a "Trekkie", but Tom definitely is. We went to Vegas a couple years ago soley because they were opening the new "Star Trek Experience" and he and his best buddy "Just HAD to be there"! ;-) It was an awesome time though, the Star Trek Experience as well as all of Las Vegas. You would really like Quark's restaurant. It is a replica of the inside of one of the ships. All of the employees are in costume and at all times completely in character... all sorts, klingons, ferenge (can't spell that one)... The Borg scared me, too realistic. Very cool.
Can't wait to go back. :-)
Susan, I love Vegas and it has been quite a while since we last visited. We just go for like 3 nights at a time. We love to gamble and staying longer than that is too tempting. Of course, winning always makes it nice. Helps pay for the trip!
